
Cotter dam, the best man-made water falls in Australia, is also a good reflection of population growth in Canberra. Original built to18.66m in 1915, raised to 28.5m in 1951, 83m in 2013, now it is 125m in height.

Cotter lake water released to Cotter River, and to Murrumbidgee River, finally joins to Murray River.
